Welcome to the May Trees web site
Just before we moved to Cornwall in 2007 (appropriately on the first day of May), I registered the domain maytrees.net, mainly so that we could have some continuity for e-mail during the transition. But we also took advantage (over-ambitiously) of the opportunity to run our own website. Something was thrown together that worked, but the time to complete it or keep it updated didn't materialise, so it turned into a cobweb site after a few weeks.
In the dark days after the Christmas holiday with more
time available and a lot less going on, I've had another attempt at it.
Please be patient as many components are still being worked on. The WebCam, for
example, will probably show the view west from the studio window, but I
don't propose setting it up until the days get longer.
The Objective
The main purpose of this site is to keep in touch with friends and
family that are now a lot further away from
us
We'll do that by keeping a photo gallery of anything interesting over the
previous few weeks, and the best pictures will go into a more permanent
archive.
There will also be a periodical newsletter, and Keith's Blog
will continue. It was no surprise that there were no takers for the
discussion board last time, but we're going to persevere in case some of you get
brave enough to go into print.
The local event diary for
2008 now has plenty of entries - well worth a look if you're planning on being here this year!
